Heaven did my cleaning sessionand overall I’m satisfied! The cleaner arrived on time and did a thorough, neat job — everything was left clean and tidy. The only downside is that the lights in the flat were left on after she left, which wasn’t very pleasant, as I came back only in the evening. Other than that, everything was great.

To be honest, this was pretty bad. Heaven was on time and polite, like last time. But, it was pretty shocking. 1. She said my housemate had locked her door (with the en-suite), and that she couldn’t open it. I opened it immediately. I thought it was strange, but ok. Then I realized she really just didn’t want to be here. 2. She tried to leave after 1 hour 10 minutes in a 2 hour clean. I then walked around with her and pointed out that the floors were still dirty. She said ‘I’ll use the better mop next time’. I asked her to use it now. 3. I asked if she had cleaned the kitchen counters, she said yes, and I pointed to food (this wasn’t like, taking a toothpick to a corner, it was right there in the middle of the counter). She asked ‘where’ so I scraped it off with my nail, and she said ‘okay, I’ll do them now’. She didn’t move any of the stuff off of the counter to clear under or around, or anything at all. 3. She then asked if she could go again. I am not an unfriendly person, and I don’t like confrontation, and at this point it felt really disrespectful from her, so I said fine. I’m not gonna argue or follow a ‘professional’ around checking their work. I’m not being picky, she didn’t want to clean. 4. She didn't take the trash with her when she left - she emptied it, but left the bag on the floor beside the bin. Maybe an honest mistake, but after the rest of it, I don’t think so, I think it was honestly just quite lazy. 5. She didn’t clean either shower floor or the living room table, or the bathroom counters where we keep cosmetics. Overall, this was pretty bad. I don’t think it’s reasonable to need to be ‘the bad guy’ when someone wants to leave early, and honestly lies about what they have done. I understand communication regarding what you want specifically is important, but all we really wanted was the basics done well. I don’t think this was an appropriate level by any means, and I really grudge having to pay for both hours, and at all.
