Cleaning: deep cleaning

Arrival was prompt and my cleaner was very polite and professional. I had a booked an end of tenancy clean, advising that the property would be empty but I could supply a steam mop and vacuum. My cleaner arrived with no cleaning products or equipment so I had to then buy products, to allow the clean to go ahead. The work itself was of a fair standard. Some spots were missed which I had to go over but the remainder of the property was very clean.

’Im really disappointed with the service I received. I paid for a 4-hour deep clean, but what was delivered felt more like a very basic surface clean. Dusting was barely done, and there was little evidence of the thorough work I expected from a deep clean. I also paid extra for cleaning products, only to find out they were basic items from Aldi—something I would never have agreed to had that been made clear upfront. Punctuality and communication were poor. The cleaner changed the agreed time three times, and communication throughout was inconsistent and frustrating. Shockingly, she asked to leave an hour early, even though I had paid for the full four hours. I also had to ask her to clean the windows a second time, even though I had clearly requested this at the start. The windows were left with visible smudges and dirt, likely due to the poor quality sponge and cleaning products she used. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this service to others and feel the job fell well short of what was promised and paid for.
